COVID-19 spreading like wildfire across Assam: 16 confirmed cases
The positive cases for COVID-19 in Assam has risen from 0 to 16 in just 48 hours. In less than 12 hours, Assam has registered 3 more positive cases taking the total to 16.
The Health minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted late last night that 3 new cases are detected in Goalpara Medical College and all of them are connected with Nizamuddin Markaz congregation.
Earlier, in a press meet at NHM, Dr. Biswa Sarma also confirmed 4 positive cases that are connected to the Nizamuddin Markaz and are currently being treated in GMCH.
The names of the 4 persons are as follows:
Md. Arsad Ali (19 years) from Nalbari,
Md. Joban Ali (46 years) from Jagiroad,
Md. Hazrat Ali (60 years) from Jagiroad and Md. Nurrudin (55 years) from Jagiroad.
